The Institute of Urban Environment (IUE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), established on July 4, 2006, is a legal entity under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and is currently the only national research institution specializing in comprehensive research on the urban environment in the world, with doctoral and masters degree-granting points in the first-level disciplines of Environmental Science and Engineering, Ecology and a postdoctoral research station in Environmental Science and Engineering. It is currently the only national research institute specializing in comprehensive research on urban environment in the world, with doctoral and masters degree conferring points in the first-level disciplines of “Environmental Science and Engineering” and “Ecology”, as well as a postdoctoral research station of “Environmental Science and Engineering”.
